Do you have more than one holiday out?
Or maybe you just left it half finished or half picked up...
I tried to arrange the lights here, but gave up.
Our Christmas is still in boxes on the floor, and some are not closed..
But despite that the next holiday will be here,
so I placed some Valentine's Day and some rabbit decor out...
I won't mention the holiday, but after all it is early this year.
In this photo life is still on the table, and
I am not sure who left the trash bin on the table. You can find how I made an aged bucket,
at my aged bucket. I have rose bunches (not long stem, these are inexpensive) and wax flowers.

On the sleeping porch, we switched out the iron bed to my daughter's former child bed, because the iron bed went to the She Shed cottage.
I took the photo, after the bed had been made, but not the same day.
I don't know what that lump is in the middle.
Maybe someone covered up laundry?
Over here is a rabbit with untied ribbons. I guess we decided on striped, not black.
The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Real life is beautiful and messy. Beauty is less than perfect. Here's a wonderful thought...
Your messy IS beautiful
ReplyDeleteMine? not so much.
xo
Thank you, Cindi. Well sometimes my pets are messy, but I don't have as many indoor ones as you. I have two kitties inside and two toy poodles. Outside are three adopted kitties that were born outside, but only one skittish.
DeleteWhat a fabulous quote! I love living life's little miracles!
ReplyDeleteI am messy when I work and I enjoy every atom of messiness because that's when I make fantasy tangible and it feels great! Enjoy your messiness! I certainly enjoyed yours :)
Thank you, Maya. Creative people seem to need the messiness. I know my daughter does like you. xoxo Su
DeleteYou don't know how nice it is to see a post that deals with "real" life....I love this! My house is NOT always in order, and it's wonderful to see someone that is honest about life, and living.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, Su.

DeleteSu, yes life is messy but even messy your home always looks intriguing and warm. Love the quote. Now a share - my Simon when we're eating in the dining room goes to his bowls in the kitchen where his dry food is and fills his mouth like a squirrel and comes into the dining room and spits it out and eats. John's theory is he wants to eat with us! Needless to say I'm always picking up his food. Have a fun weekend Su and I hope you are feeling well after your cold.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Vera
How sweet that he brings it to eat with you My toy poodles eat one morsel and go back to the bowl. You would think they would get tired. It makes me tired watching them. But they don't bring it to us or to eat with us. Simon is extra special. xoxo
DeleteTrue. :-) I always enjoy photos of your home and life.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend.
P.S. Has your daughter read the book - The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society? I just finished it. I think she would enjoy it and you too.
Carla
Thank you, Carla. I am going to look for it. Thank you for the recommendation. xoox Su
DeleteThe quote you've chosen for closing your post is so wonderful and truly meaningful, it gives such a brightness to every photograph of yours, already so very lovely, my dearest Su!
ReplyDeleteMay the end of your week be blessed with gladness and serenity,
thank you again for the precious gift you present me every time you come to ∼ My little old world ∽,
sending so, so much sincere love to you,
with thankfulness

Thank you, Dani. I hope you had a beautiful weekend. xoox Su

ReplyDeleteLol...that shows real life....I love it...Our Space isn't always in best order, Oder totally cleaned...and it's good to see that I'm not alone on this planet with that problem! Often it looks pretty good in our house, but when I'm busy with the job, some things still not done...good to see how honestly you are...nobody is perfect, but to stay honestly about that is a good thing! Your decoration is wonderful..as always...like you and your blog so much!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Isabell
Thank you, Isabell. Haha... Yes. I didn't even notice the lump until I took a photo. :) xoxo Su
DeleteSu, your photos are always lovely ~ enjoyed your post!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and likewise. I hope your weekend was wonderful. xoxo Su
DeleteSu, It's so sweet at your house. :) Love that bunny. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susie. I found the bunny at a second hand store. xoox Su
DeleteIf that lump were in my bed I would expect it to be a cat! They love "helping" me make the bed.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny, Rose. I took that photo, and when I looked at it only then did I see the lump. It could of been a cat like our Jack, but I suspect someone put clean laundry on the bed and covered it. Have a wonderful weekend. xoxo Su
DeleteSuch a beautiful mess. And I love that quote.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sarah. It's wonderful to think that one can live from miracle to miracle. I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start. xoxo Su
DeleteI agree with the others, your messy is charming! You arrange such unique objects together in lovely ways. Valentine's Day always sneaks up on me and Easter will be early. I must bring out my Beatrix Potter black rabbit soon and put a ribbon on him, inspired by yours!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dewena. Oh how cute. I saw a beautiful black rabbit today, but I said to myself, "Su, you have too many rabbits." xoox Su
DeleteLovely quote and lovely post. The pictures are such beautiful
ReplyDeleteHugs
Alessandra
Thank you, Alessandra. I hope you had a lovely weekend. xoxo Su
DeleteOh it always takes me forever to put away Christmas. I have one wee shadowbox left to take up to the attic. The valentine decor is up and it's just about time to think about spring. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful, sunny weekend!
Good to know that I'm one of many. Have a wonderful weekend. xoxo Su
DeleteYour home always seems beautiful. My Christmas items are put away, but there's nothing in their place, so it's a little bit like the winter doldrums around here. I like the hearts. I think I need to perk up this place with some hearts...And maybe white paint. Have a wonderful weekend. I read Carla's comment and must add that I too loved that book!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judy. I am going to have to look for the book now. I like Christmas, so I would leave up through January, if I felt comfortable. I leave it up until the Feast of the Magi, or eastern Christmas, or Baptism, depending on the tradition. xoxo Su
DeleteYes, everyday life is beautiful, and hard, and Blessed! Love the black/white ribbon for 'bunny'! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cindy. It's Hobby Lobby. xoxo Su

DeleteA beautiful life - untied ribbons and all! The porch bed looks so comfortable and cozy! I suspect there is a small pet burrowed under those comfy covers! xx Karen

Deletevery nice photos, have a nice weekend
ReplyDeleteand big hugs and kisses from tatjana
Thank you, Tatjana. I have a new rescue cat, but he is too elusive yet to get a good photo of him. He is a Siamese flame pointe or red pointe mix. xoxo Su
DeleteHi Su, I want to wish you a Happy New Year if I didn't! I love your pretty banner, the flowers and the bunny. Yes there are so many holidays all meshing together. There are still Christmas wreaths and lights up on peoples houses in my neighborhood! Take care and have a lovely weekend.
