It's been another wonderful year. For one, my daughter and I traveled again, while she studied piano. Yet we also saw a lot of our ongoing projects to fruition. It's been 3.5 years of work so far. There is more painting to come in these cooler months ahead and some more finished projects. But it being the New Year, I wanted to share this little sweet wreath again: Butterfly Wreath. It wasn't so popular, but my daughter and I loved making them, and butterflies are a symbol of so many good things like hope, rebirth, new beginnings.
We finished most of the Backyard, and our Copper Arches were an inexpensive and ingenious solution. Just one of my crazy ideas that I had one day and they turned out beautiful. They hold shade clothes in the summer and garden blankets this winter! It's been so cold here. Cold. It was 36 degrees at 9 a.m yesterday. It warmed, probably into the 50s, but I am not going to complain, because I don't like the heat. This cold is still much better, because it is not bitter like some areas get.
One bed I turned into a mini meadow, and I am hoping it will seed itself this year.
We remodeled this bathroom ourselves when we moved in a few years ago, but I finally found a "cottage" looking vanity. New Bathroom Vanity DIY
I painted our potting shed grey and set it up for crafting by making this Faux Metal Table Top work table.
This project sort of got overlooked, because I squeezed off finishing it near the end of last year.
This lovely, moody looking room is my spouse's office in the carport.
Early this year, my daughter received a reset to a teen room.
And my sweet kitchen is always a favorite.
But people that visit really seem to enjoy my sleeping porch and its ever changing seasonal vignettes and tea parties.
Sometimes planned from the Madhatter's Library.
Thank you for visiting our home this past year and blessings to you all.
