Special Edition

This is Madeline aka "cotton ball".  She is 4+ months toy poodle puppy.
She was born on August 20, 2015.
I've been meaning to add another for years, but Francis had a dear friend for almost six years; it was Clara the Cat, and we lost her this last spring.

Here she is with Francis who will turn 9 in January.
She is "white" and he is "red".

He likes her, but she can't sit still for a photo yet.

(daughter's photo)
But this is Silver, one of our adopted kitties from the outdoors, and he adores Madeline.
He talks to her, and then he lays on ground on his back, and let's her gently rough house with him.
Our experience is that cats like toy poodles. And Anya our indoor cat was not even phased by her.

And lastly, I was delightfully surprised and honored to be featured in Kerryanne's Shabby Art Boutique special Christmas features. It's my porch and a craft that I placed on the porch.
You can read it for free.

  3. Congratulations on your feature and your new addition.

KerrieAnne's magazine if wonderful and to be included is an awesome compliment.

We have never had cats and dogs that cared for one another. Lulu wanted to play with our son's cats when they lived with us, but the cats were snobs.

Have fun with the adorable Madeline.

  11. Dear sweet Su,
Congrats on your feature, you deserve it for your bungalow is charming, warm and delightfully creative.
Welcome adorable tres chic Madeline, you precious little fluff of sweetness. Oh Su how I read your words - as I will patiently wait for the response in our quiet home since our prince Max departed. Could there be, maybe a sweet little poodle to dwell in our hearts and home? Who knows, I will keep the dream and soon will foretell.

    1. Thank you, Bernideen. They are very easy to care for. They need to be groomed about every four to six weeks with a bath and haircut. Otherwise, it is brush the little bit of fluff every day around the ears, crown, and tail and they are good to go, though she needs a little more, because she still has puppy hair. xoox Su

The kids are getting ready to head off to college, we are traveling more...but boy, it would be nice. Enjoy those fur babies and give them a cuddle for me!! :)

  34. Your sweet poodles are precious. I grew up with poodles and we thought that we would get one too but then Bella Bleu was given to us at 8 wks old. She is a maltese, a french dog just like the poodle, and now we have fallen in Love with malteses. We may get another soon since Bella is getting older. But we are considering a maltepoo. Enjoy your sweet special edition. Her face is so cute!

    1. I love maltese as well. I love that they our dogs are the same breed. It's sort of funny how Francis came to like her. I swear he thinks he is a cat. Well she is just a fluff ball, and he liked playing with her right away, but she needed a trim, because her hair is getting tangled. I took her for a trim, and when I brought her back. He started chasing her and playing more dog like with her. Thank you for telling me about Kerryanne's magazine. I had always wondered. The issue that you were in was beautiful, and now that I know about the quality, I think I will order that one. Blessings for the New Year. xoxo Su
