Random Spring Photos

Just some photos from around the house. Truth be told, the home needs to be cleaned, because I've spent more time outside than inside, and there are lots of uncompleted projects.

This is a handmade pillow that I picked up a few months ago at this once a month warehouse sale.  I love its wide shabby ruffle. It is probably the only thing I've ever found there, besides buying a copy of the Jeanne D'Arc Living magazine.

Touches of spring in the home... Someone also made the slipcover.

 More blooms from the garden...

My Valentine's wreath from 2014, still looks great, and it is now in the library.

I love her mittens.

It's really warm here, almost hot.  I hope it is warming in the rest of the country. My spouse made a corn beef without the cabbage and served it with Irish Beer. (I don't drink beer).  Did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? I forgot to get out the shamrock china.

  1. You're home is so inviting and inspirational.

I made corned beef & cabbage and it tool way too long for the corned beef to become tender, so my husband is getting a very fine St. Patrick's day lunch today. ( in his lunch-box )

I don't drink beer either, but no matter, we had a good St. Patrick's day , remembering that St. Patrick ( captured by the Irish & enslaved , saved by our Lord, escaped and then returned to shepherd the very Irish that were his captors ) was really all about our Savior, Jesus.

Happy St. Patrick's day to you , belatedly.

    1. My spouse made the corn beef, but he put it in the crockpot on slow cook for about ten hours! Thank you for the lovely reminder. xoxo

  4. What fun little bits and bobs around your house! It is fun to see it- and I need a good "cleaning" here, too...not from working outside...more from pure laziness. lol Have a good day- xo Diana

  5. There has been so much snow here and winter was just too long, that I haven't really been on top of my projects and cleaning either! It has been a teeny bit warmer, so we have been trying to leave the house more. Enjoy the heat and those blooms, so pretty, and I hope your hand is all better!

We're expecting more snow today, but the birds are returning so spring is definitely in the air.

    1. I don't like the taste of beer either. I think it is acquired. It was so hot here too. But even if we warm up now, at least for here, that doesn't mean it will necessarily be a bad summer. I get like that sometimes, and I practically have down positively nothing for three weeks. My hand is finally almost better. Though it doesn't have the best of grasp yet.

  21. I know what you mean about letting things go inside, when you're working on the inside, but your home doesn't look dirty at all. In fact, it looks really pretty and Spring like :)

    1. Thank you so much. My table is covered with laundry and projects! My little dog messed in the porch bed. I cleaned all the linens, but never put it back together! It's things like that. A flat surface in my house is like a vacuum. I'm sure it is mostly clutter, and I need to make a sweep, and then head to either Goodwill or another charity.
