Tea in the Afternoon

Faded Roses and Sour Hearts and Tarnished Vintage Spoons

lemon, orange, green tea, and vanilla bean macaroons from the local macaroon baker

A window seat ...with books and throws

Polka Dot and Striped Teacups with Wild Orange Blossom Tea
When the tea is gone there is a toile image inside...

Many asked to see the inside of the teacup. I tried to get an image of the inside, but the bucolic, romantic scene is a little blurry and made worse when I photographed it. Regardless, when I am using these cups they make me happy.

Loving the colors and grateful for home.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Thank you for visiting.

P.S. During activities, this is Anya's usual spot under the table. My daughter calls her a bush dweller. She prefers to be under things. The highest she can jump is my daughter's bed, because of arthritis.

  2. Oh you describe a setting that fits me perfectly. A gorgeous comfy spot near bright light, sweets, a warm cup of tea. What else can a girl need. Love that lovely chair. PS, I have that same tea cup with it's matching cake stand and tea pot. Very Parisienne.

    Hugs,

  14. A perfect setting for afternoon tea. Crushing on your black and white tea cup and saucer. Would love to see the toile scene within. '-) I have a collection of demi tasse cups and saucers, each one different, but each one black and white. Such a fun collection started many years ago with a pair of cups purchased in Paris. Oh, tea and macaroons while curled up with a good book in a comfy chair. I think that's the way I'll spend the afternoon. '-)

    1. Thank you, Sarah, for your sweet visit. What's so nice about black and white is that it really looks nice with so many things. These reminded us of piano keys. I added the photo you requested, but it doesn't come out clear. I think the image is a little blurry to begin with and on top of that I have not mastered my new camera, so it doesn't capture the charm of them.

    1. Thank you, Magali. My daughter has loved them for several years. When we were in Florence she had a shop of the fancy Paris brand. She thinks they were the best she has ever had. These ones are really good, the best we have tried in our area, and I think she has tried them all.
