  8. Wonderful statement piece, I made angel wings last year in wood and metal and found them to be time consuming laboring and gave up doing them due to an over abundance in etsy. Yours are quite intriguingly soulful. Love the mopey-ness! Is that even a word? Really I have never seen such wings fashioned in this manner and they are amazing.

    1. Thank you, Dore. Yours sound amazing. Love "moppiness". Why not? :) For a similar reason, I have only made them for home or gifting. xoxo

  11. It is adorable, Su. I might have to make some with the girls. I have always wanted to make large wings using clay but don't know how I would hang them up.

    1. Clay sounds amazing... They would be heavy, so maybe the hanger would have to be set in the project.? I have some heavy clay hanging plates and the loop was fired in then wire through the loop.

  12. These are absolutely adorable . . . so intriguing. I love how you made them with ragged fabric instead of feathers. I just found your blog and I love it. My husband and I purchased a little bungalow built in 1905, last spring . . . a major fixer upper, but we are plugging along and loving every minute of it. I am your newest follower. Come on over and check out my blog and if you like it as much as I like yours, then please follow me back. I have made so many lovely friends through blogging and sharing ideas.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  26. Su, your angel wings project is one of the neatest things I've seen in Blogland lately….I *heart* them! I think they'd be so much fun as a wall hanging. LOVE them!

  27. Beautiful ! I am going to have to read further to see how you created them. They remind me of the wings of my geese, Ella & Fella. Ella & Fella are Sebastapol geese with long white curly feathers. I collect their feathers for art projects...maybe angel wings ?
