New Project: Office Studio?

In between the carport...

and the potting shed...

There is a another room in between to the left there.
It's a small space, but I hope to make it something special.

So far, the space has been cleaned, the damaged dry wall is gone, and the two windows and the door have been replaced.  I've saved some of the old good wood too, there just is not enough for this room.  Since my spouse works from home, and I enjoy creating, this will be a shared space for both of us, because my daughter doesn't like our interruptions when she practices the piano.
Though I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to with the space, because we have to share. Everything is all over the place right now: in the carport, in the potting shed, and all over the back yard. Maybe I will have it done by Christmas. Fortunately there is no rain in sight and the temperatures are manageable now.

Still to come:
Electrician is scheduled.
New insulation and walls.
Floor selection.
Colors & Painting
Decor

P.S. I discovered that I started this project almost a year to the date, but for whatever reason we abandoned it! Here's the first start!

  4. How fun that you have a space you can share. My husband's art studio is just too small for me to fit my stuff in there too.

    Have fun inventing the space.

    1. Thank you. I use to collect them, but now that I have a small home I try to rotate them. Those two are usually there because they fit just perfectly and are protected from the weather. I think the images were painted on old shutters.

  19. Sounds exciting! Look forward to seeing your newly-created area. I'm sure it will be beautifully done. My husband covered the yard between the house and the double garage some time after we moved into our present house in Yorkshire and it's a very useful extra space.

  26. You'll enjoy having a dedicated creative space. In our last home I worked in the living room and it was very restrictive. Have fun putting it all together!
