Welcome March

Lucky, luck, charms, Irish, clover, shamrocks, faeries, green, three, trinity, shelale, leprechauns and spring...  We chose luck, because it fit on the banner:)
I will show you how to make one of these easy banners at a later date.

 Buntings, Banners, Garldands

Since St. Patrick's Day is in March and spring is here where we live, we chose the color green for our March tea and theme.

We love making and hanging garlands and buntings!
They are just the right amount of whimsy, magic, and nostalgia.

We chose real green apples, because it's not wet enough for clover, but it's natural, inexpensive, and we can eat them.

And since my daughter just completed another reading of The Secret Garden, a perfect spring book, it's added to the display.  Can you make out the pattern on the tea cups?

The shamrock cups were given to my daughter many years ago.
They are English bone china.
At our party we are serving Organic Green Dragon Tea from Mighty Leaf.
The tea's name sounds like a spring faeries' drink!

To my drawing I added a rainbow, a southwestern pot, a crown to the cactus, and some clouds, and to my button garland I added some green shimmer.
The quail are out and about on our hikes,
and they are the perfect spring bird of the desert.

I could not fit the entire inspirational quote for March on the board.
Here is some wisdom from Chesterton.

"And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow."

  7. I love all your white! It is so calming. And also the touches of green. We have about 30 slate blackboards and I've been thinking of framing one to look like a British phone box (red) but I like your mirror frame around the board. That's beautiful! I need to go looking for a frame... Unfortunately, too many people have caught on to the idea that those old, white chippy things are gorgeous and desirable! LOL
