Wire Hearts

I brought this candelabra in from the outside.
I had it out there in the elements for a year, but that just makes it look better.
It looks like a shadow of angel is enjoying the view.

We have been making these little wire hearts.
Just two kinds of wire and beads and scraps of material that we had around the house.

This one has a kitty face and a spiral.

The heart is sort of a cross between a dream catcher and an ornament.

We hung the heart on a candelabra with one of our handmade wreaths.

  1. That candelabra looks perfect beside the wardrobe. And your wire hearts are just the sweetest accessories.

    1. Thank you, Diane. I like it better than what I had there. I forgot that this piece was outside on the side of the shed. I think beside the wardrobe is a keeper!

  7. Happy new year ! I've been a slow blogger the last few months - mostly because I write about gardening ofcourse , but also that the festive season is a bit hectic with the kids end of term shows in addition to social obligations. Now I've had a few minutes to see what you have been doing since last time I came by. AND WOW ! lovely decorations for the holidays and pretty images as usual.

    All the best,

    Anne

    1. Thank you, Anne! We had a lovely holiday. Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your family.

You have such a beautiful garden. We are sort of limited by what we can grow here in regards to beautiful blooms, but I am still hoping to get a backyard garden started this year. I really want to grow some vegetables, and I failed to get it started in the fall growing season. Now I am trying for February.

    1. Hi, Jen. Great minds think alike. My daughter has made several, and it will be fun to do with friends too. We took down the tree and it looked empty and this sort of brightened spirits.

  14. Thats a great candleabra. Is it a menorah? Your wreath and little wire heart are so pretty! Thank you for sharing this at What We Accomplished Wednesdays!

    1. Hi, Deborah. Thank you and Happy New Year to you too. I think it is because churches (eastern orthodox) and Jewish temples can use seven, but it is not a Hanukah menorah of nine. Years ago, I found it in a vintage shop when one could find pretty items from Mexico. It is pretty roughly forged, so I suspect it is from south of the border and someone made it for a Catholic church.
