Discovery Girl

Discovery Girls Magazine

My daughter is in the August/September Discovery Girls Magazine.
It is sold at Barnes and Noble and digitally.
She entered a contest that required answers to an extensive questionnaire, a writing sample, and a video of something she enjoys doing.

The photos are so cute.  Even though she was in the shorter group, she looks taller because they grouped the girls by height, so she was pleased with the result.  The girls don't where much makeup except for some lip gloss and clear mascara on the day of the cover shoot. In the outdoor activity the girls wear their own clothing. The girls are ages eight to twelve, and the girls that are selected help create the issue.  It is a national magazine with a healthy message for young girls.

    1. Thank you, Dawn. It was a fun, learning experience behind the making of a magazine. She also learned to horseback ride.

    1. Thank you, Bobbypin Bandit. It is, but she likes to write. Sometimes she wins, sometimes she doesn't.
