Bow for the Bow Wreath

Make a Bow From a Towel

This is our bow wreath that is made of bows, but it was just plain white.  I intended to put a bow on it with a musical staff, but the material was used for something else.

I didn't want to buy more material. So yesterday, I took an old, striped IKEA kitchen towel,
divided it lengthwise, knotted in the back, created a bow, and then wired it to the wreath.
I frayed the edges a bit by making a tiny cut and ripping the material on some of the sides.

It looks summery or nautical.  My daughter has a jacket that looks like this material.

She thought it looked Alice in Wonderland.

This is another wreath variation: knotted rag wreath.  When it is done, it looks likes feathers
but it is thin, ripped rags and more labor.

.

This is another version of the bow wreath.
It is a lot of white; not everyone enjoys that much white,
but I always thought it would look wonderful in other colors.
Well, Art and Sand created a whimsical variation that you should see!!!

    1. Thank you, Dawn.

Very strange. Your icon shows up on my sidebar and I clicked it and your blog is not showing up. It is not back linking through your name or through google search. Maybe it is a glitch. Aug 1 10:20 am mountain time.

    1. Thanks Magali, I left the others plain, but my daughter wanted a bow for hers. It was suppose to be music, but she used it for something else, so I was trying to come up with something and the towel reminded of the jacket she picked out for her tea party.
