Reinventing Alice

This weekend one of things we did was re-arrange our shells.  There is no seahorse in Alice in Wonderland, but there is a Lobster Quadrille dance, a walrus, and other sea creatures, so a seahorse seems appropriate;
after all, there is a rocking horsefly.

My daughter has been thinking about our summer Mad Hatter Party

So this weekend we took a drive to Forever 21 children's store to look at an "Alice" dress she found online.  I think it was 17 dollars!  The color is off white and the lace is so pretty.

The hair bow was from Claire's.  The heart was her great grandmother's.
She took the photos with the i-pad and emailed them to me.  I only altered them a tad in pic monkey and watermarked them.  That i-pad is  amazing, (but it is also an amazing distraction.) Recently, I noticed tweens using it as a mirror.

She will always be my Alice.

  3. I love the idea of a Mad Hatter Party. By the way those are some really great looking shells.

  4. How fun - a Mad Hatter Party!!!
    Can't wait to see photos of it

  5. She makes such a cute little Alice. I'm a big fan of Alice as I very often make no sense at all!!! I even was Alice in a ballet and was lucky enough to have a cute mini-version of me that was played by a little girl!

    1. Magali, that is so neat! If you have photos you should post them time or save them for the Mad Hatter Party! My daughter has studied some of the logic and philosophy in Alice and she loves it because Alice is so much more than an ordinary girl or princess.

Thank you for taking time to visit and leave a kind message today. I love to visit your blogs too, and I do when I can link back. xoxo Su
